Experimental Study and Design of Experiment Using Statistical Analysis for the Development of Geopolymer Matrix for Oil-Well Cementing for Enhancing the Integrity

This paper presents an experimental investigation on geopolymer cement formulations for enhancing oil-well integrity. Fresh slurry properties, mixability, density, free-water, and rheology were determined possible field applications. The compressive strength expansion characteristics studied the durability integrity of well system. Mix complied with requirements API RP 10B-2. All showed homogeneous rheological plastic viscosity (PV), yield point (YP) increased from 48 cP to 104 3.8 N/m2 12.4 N/m2, respectively, increase dosage elastomeric type expandable material (R additive). highest 15 MPa was obtained using 10% R additive in mix-blend after 60 days curing. Increasing amount provides optimum at 10.4 design 2, 3, 4. linear about 1% 20% 25% dosage. Design Experiment (DOE) performed setting three factors: curing time (A), temperature (B), concentration (C) optimize (response).
